Making an instrument case in vintage gun case style

My most resent build is an instrument case for Norwegian traditional instruments "birch bark lure" and "horn" (billy goat), made by Magnar Storbækken at Naturinstrumenter.

This was a fun project for a customer from western Norway. A huge challenge was the fact that I didn't have the instruments, but a measured drawing of them made by the customer. This made it difficult and quite challenging, but luckily they all fitted! It is made from birch and stained with Liberon spirit wood dye. Then 3 coats of Finishing oil.
Photo by customer, all parts fitted!

Handle and lock.

Finished. Workshop.
